They don't put enough of an interest in our well being.
I think they might think that we are a little wild, but I think they love us and want to see us grow
they are beginning to recognize we are an importatnt part of the church

The elder adults think that we are just wild and crazy but they never actually see how supportive and caring we are for one another. We really do care they just never see it in the sanctuary. Because we do most of the action outside of church and in the youth house.
Sometimes i almost think that the church looks down on us but i mean like though we may do things that are wrong once in a while it doesn't mean we're like terrible or anything because i think that most of us are pretty good kids! But they also do think good of us sometime :)

I really like it here!! I love like all the people and it seems like they are really close to God and i know that it has been a church that i have easily been accepted into and i feel like i have been there all of my life and stuff i love it
I enjoy it, i wish we were more unified
its alot better than it used to be
I think that Southside is a great church but is very clickish if you know what I mean. There are to many groups like popular and unpopular. We have tried to fix it in the past but when we did the people that wanted to fix it just completely ignored what they said about there being to many groups. We are to into ourselves and guys/girls to even realize that someone is hurting inside or has a real problem. Adults do WAY too much in the church and youth group. I mean why do you think they call it a YOUTH group? We are so intrested in our social life we never get interested in spiratual life. I mean really do you ever just go up to someone and ask them how their walk with God is? Think about it.!

i really like it here. my other church didn't have much influence on me spiritually and i have never been to a church that raises their hands in praise and I just think that is so cool

7. Ways Christians are different from non-Christians
In what ways should Christians be different from non-Christians?
We accept
we should watch what we say and what we support by attendance

We are happier because we have Jesus in our our lives and we should spread that happiness.

we see and hear "bad and misused" words differently and cannot tolerate them when spoken
we know we will go to heaven with no doubt in mind
hardley nothing except they havent excepted the lord yet
well there should be a definite difference between like christians and non christians however sometimes that is like not the case

8. Ways to enhance relevance of services to students
How could our services be more relevant to you as a student?

involve us more in the services from week to week
We need a few choruses like we sing in youth group plus the hymns
we need more "youth services" I love participating.

9. Preference of music for worship services
What are your preferences of the types of music to be used in worship services at
i prefer the music that is more nowadays (like over hymns) because i know them better and it is makes me focus more on worhshipping God than having to read the song out of a book. Sometimes hymns are ok though i just prefer the other kind better
Something that require low notes
i like the newer songs that don't sound like they were written over a hundred years ago.
i like the newer praise and worship songs, maybe have a prasie group lead the worship time
i prefer a more contemporary worship service because i can really get into it be cause the music is cool and the words are more along the way of how i feel
it's hard for me to get into the older style music because its so slow and tradional
lower music The songs are waaaay too high.
We also need a little bit of modern choruses and such.
i like the one's that have a fast beat and uplifting words, not the songs from the hymnal

i think that like we need to start bringin more friends and stuff to all the activities and stuff like that !! i mean i love u guys and all but we need to reach out to like everyone else and MEET NEW PEOPLE and pull them into our youth group
This is an exciting time to be alive. I wonder how we can use technology to reach people.

This is a great idea I would love to do this again.
I think parents are too hard on the middle children!! I mean the elder child is the oldest and most perfect and the younger child is the baby and the middle child is just kind of stuck there in the middle for decoration if you know what i mean. They always get in trouble and the parents never understand their problems. Because they just don't feel right in the home when they get no attention. If you live with me you know who I am!!
Youth rule. Others are ok. Do good. Eat more chicken. Read sports magazines.

I think we need to go to one camp a year RANDY!!! and keep going to that camp because we make friends and end up losing them.

Recommended changes for the student ministry at SSBC
Youth Group
1. a youth band that will play during the church services
2. combine the sunday school classes every once in a while, all the girls and all the guys
3. do more activites during the year
4. get more students involved in wednesy nights
5. givig the youth group a Sunday morning to hang out and talk
6. i think the youth group is awesom
7. i would like to do more stuff in the summer like going to other states
8. sponsor a cnild or animal as ayouth group
9. also do more like things together w/other churches and go on more trips and stuff like all through the year
10. Better acceptance of others
11. definately MORE TRIPS!!!!!!!!!
12. do more stuff for the community

14. do something for other people (like going to nursing homes, maybe speaking at a different church or having the whole youth group visit a different church

33. I like our youth group. It is not as "clikish' as it might seem. Compared to my old church our youth group is GREAT. Besides, some people are already doing a great job reaching
34. i love our youth group and the people in it but i think we need to expand it!! :)
35. I think that the church, like i said before, is to clickish and that we need to improve on the group thing. I think that the adults expect to much of the youth and they need to be more enthusiatic that we are actually chosing this youth group to go to. I would also like to see more peopl going to our church. And more outreach
36. I think that we need to bring more nonchristians to church.

39. i would also like to see us grow closer together like as a youth group and "bond" with EVERYONE in the youth group
40. I would like to see an extensive schedule that stretches for at least a few weeks that we can go by so that we will know what to do and when to bring friends. Activities are nice, but we must make them cost efficent such as a deal with the bowling alley near the church so that we can bring people without having to worry about cost of the "large" group.
41. i'm interested in having a course on evolution vs creationism and one on our baptist belifs, how we bake them up biblicaly compaired to other religions
